Born in traditional archaka family, he completed Prathistantham in Vaikhanasa Agamam at Sri Venkateswara Veda patasala in Tirumala. He was appointed as an archaka in Sri Venkateswara Temple in Rishikesh from 1972 to 1985. He was the chief priest at Sri Kalayana Venkateswara Temple in Srinivasa Mangapuram from 1985 to 1992. Deputed to Mauritius to establish Sri Venkateswara Temple from 1992 to 1994. Sent by Tirumala Tirupati Devsthanam to ICCT As Chief Priest to establish Vaikhanasa Agama worship in February 1995. He continued as Chief priest to date at ICCT after his retirement from TTD.
He has performed nearly 250 Kumbhabhshekams in India, USA, Canada and UK. He performed the first Yagnam in USA in 1997. He is the first one in history to perform Sri Ashtamukha Gandabherunda Lakshmi Narasimha Maha yagnam at ICCT in 2007 and also did the Prana Prathista of world’s first temple to Sri Ashtamukha Gandabherunda Lakshmi Narasimha at ICCT Memphis in 2014. At the request of Sri Karunamayi Vijayeswari Devi he performed the prana prathista of Saligrama Srinivasa Temple in Bengaluru. Prana Prathista of Europe’s first Sri Venkateswara Temple at Birmingham,UK was performed by him.
Jagadguru Sri Chandrasekhara saraswathi Of Kanchi kamakotoi peetam conferrde on him the title of Sri vailhanasa agama pratestantham kartum samardhatah. SVD trust of Mauritius honored him with a Gold medal .
He was honored by the Trustees of ICCT for his 22 years of service with a custom designed Gold Simha Kanta Haram. The titles of Sataprathistapanacharya and Vaikhanasa Agama Siromani were conferred on him by various organizations.
He is a devout Vaishnava and speaks Telugu, Tamil, Hindi and English. ICCT is very proud to have him as the chief priest.
