ICCT is currently involved in an extraordinary and historical project called the Kadamba Vanam (Kotilinga Kshetram) project. One of the major components of the project is the construction of a memorial to honor Sri Annanmachraya. The project aims to honor and commemorate the legacy of Sri Annanmachraya, a great saint, composer, and social reformer of the 15th century.
The proposed structure is a magnificent 95-ft cast bronze statue of Annamacharya standing on a 13 ft tall base. The statue represents the 95 years of Annamacharya’s life, and the pedestal symbolizes the foundation of his legacy. The total height of the statue and the base is 108 ft (320000 centimeters), which corresponds to the number of compositions he created on Lord Sri Venkateswara.
To provide a proof of concept, a life-sized prototype of the statue has been created in India and brought to the ICCT Temple for public display. We are excited to invite everyone to join us for the unveiling of the Annamacharya prototype during the Yagnam celebration on Saturday, May 6th, at 6:00 pm. Following the unveiling, there will be a series of cultural programs and Mahaprasadam (dinner) that we hope you will enjoy.
We encourage you to bring your family and friends to this unique and memorable celebration. Let us all come together to pay tribute to the great saint, composer, and social reformer Sri Annanmachraya.
